Online business advising is a game-changing innovation. It’s common for entrepreneurs to seek advice from community organizations with limited capacity and industry expertise, hire costly consultants and coaches, or think they’re too busy to find a local mentor. Enter: online mentoring. BusinessAdvising.org leverages technology (an online platform with an internal, proprietary matching algorithm) and volunteerism to provide small business owners with high-quality mentoring, at no cost, that removes geography as a barrier. If your company is in downtown Omaha, and the best advisor for your business lives in Dallas, BusinessAdvising.org can make that match happen.
Most of the participants in our program tend to meet the following criteria.
- Operating history of at least a year (i.e. beyond start-up phase)
- Annual revenues of at least $150,000
- 2+ full-time employees
- Creating jobs in, or located in, economically underserved communities OR have a compelling social mission
Remember, we’re flexible! If your company doesn’t meet these exact criteria, contact us anyway. We’d love to find a way to work together.

Some volunteer advisors enjoy this program so much they happily provide more hours than this too.
