Use your business expertise to give back! BusinessAdvising.org is a nonprofit program that matches small business owners with volunteer business advisors who provide tailored, hands-on assistance to help them grow and create quality jobs. If you have up to 5 hours per month to help an underserved small business owner, these advisors could be you.
It sounds cliché, but small businesses are the engines of the economy — and they need support from (and often don’t have access to) professionals with expertise in areas such as marketing, sales, finance, manufacturing, operations, IT, and general management.
You can learn more and get started by heading to http://businessadvising.pcv.wpengine.com/advisors to create your profile. You’ll tell them about your career experience, skills, and other areas of expertise; and when they find you a good match, they’ll pair you with a small business owner to work with. Help create new jobs for working people, and strengthen local economies.
